SupplyWell is on the lookout for an enthusiastic and creative Resistant Materials Teacher who is looking for a more rewarding and flexible role to join a school in West Lancashire. This is an exciting opportunity for a supply teacher to make a positive impact on the students and wider school community, but providing you the freedom to choose when you work.

The role of Resistant Materials Teacher will require the delivery of resistant materials to students across Key Stage 3 & 4 and you will be supported with quality resources, equipment, and fellow staff.

Job Type: Varied – part time, full time and flexible opportunities

Salary: Up to £240 per day, depending on experience

Location: West Lancashire

As a resistant materials teacher you’ll be responsible for delivering engaging, creative lessons to students of varying abilities. For this role you will need to have excellent classroom management skills and be dedicated to achieving the highest teaching and learning standards. Ideally, you will also have experience in teaching resistant materials as a design and technology subject, plus have experience with CAD-CAM, woodwork and metalwork across KS3 & KS4. You will also be able to implement strategies to support the school’s Progress 8 score, as well as ensuring the student’s welfare and education is at the forefront of your care.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills (QTLS)
  • A commitment to excellence in teaching and behaviour management
  • Prior experience as a Resistant Materials Teacher for KS3 & KS4 (ages 11-16)
  • Eagerness to collaborate with a dedicated team in a well-equipped department
